A temple is a meeting place of our physical plane and the invisible worlds of the Gods and angelic beings, or devas. The spiritual vibration of a temple is kept high through the monk’s continual worship; for over 40 years, they have performed the Sanskrit puga ritual (in the Kadavul Hindu Temple) every three hours around the clock without a single break
If you have been reading my newsletters for awhile, you will remember that the image above shows the new, recently consecrated Iraivan (iraivan means “he who is worshiped”) Temple is made of white granite carved by hand in India by master stonemasons. The carved pieces were then shipped and erected ten thousand miles away on the grounds of the monastery. Construction took 33 years. It was built according to ancient Agamic mystical injunctions to connect the Divine and the material, the spirit and the body, and Heaven and Earth.
To the right is the nearby temple pool. The water there is consecrated, and soon one will be able to pilgrimage down to the stream.
